ABOUT US
The Whitecross Street Party (WXSP) uses street art and performance to bring people together. Every July Whitecross Street in EC1 is transformed for two days, creating a street party that showcases the diverse communities which have always called the area home. Launched in 2010, WXSP has been hosted by the YMCA London City and North since 2017 and is a well-loved date in the local and London diary.
Our vision is a Whitecross Street where everyone feels connected: all are welcome at WXSP. Over 30 street artists of national and international renown paint live. Performance brings music, dance and spoken word alive on multiple stages. Stalls with artisan crafts and food offer treats to wear and eat. Our partners, the local and national organisations on our doorstep, bring activities for all ages and vibes. The street art stays live on buildings for one year, bringing colour to the street and forming one of London's lesser known street art destinations.
WXSP is organised by YMCA London City and North on behalf of Islington Council.
